BLACK MOM'S PEER SUPPORT GROUP
The Black Mom’s Peer Support Group is a monthly peer-to-peer support and strengths-based program for people who identify as Black mothers. The Black Moms Peer Support Group strives to create a safe and inclusive space for all women and recognizes the need to provide appropriate services to trans women and trans feminine people. The Black Moms Peer Support Group is based on an empowerment model that recognizes the inherent skills of peers, the value of their roles in supporting others and the value of their lived experience. This peer support group is for Black Care givers who are looking for a place to share and discuss experiences, explore new tools together in a safer environment as a way of empowering and supporting each other without judgment or shame.
