Hike For The Culture
Calling MTL Black folks to come and join us on this communal day of care. Indigenous and people of colour are also welcome to join us!
We are so excited to be collaborating with @HIKEMTL for our first winter activity. Nature can be an incredibly healing tool to add our care tool boxes. And with the days getting shorter, we would love to encourage our community to find some time to connect to themselves and the community through nature.
The goal of Walking For The Culture is to encourage the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of Black people. BHC and HikeMTL’s aim is to mobilize our communities to take care of themselves. The winter can be a very isolating time for most people. With Walking For The Culture we hope to inspire Black people to intentionally take time out of their week, to go outside and engage in communal healing through nature. Our health is our wealth. We will have guided walking meditations and we encourage people to walk on their own time if they can not make it to the communal walks. If you go on a solar walk take a photo after or before and tag #walking4theculture.
